The Kalamata olive is the king of the Greek table olives. Originally grown and still grown today in the valley of Messina, near the city of Kalamata, they are harvested by hand so not to bruise them. Once fully ripened on the tree, the olives are picked in December. The BERBATI Kalamata Olives have tight skins with a meaty texture and fruity flavour. Do not forget that once the olives are gone, the oil can be used in your salad or as a perfect addition to any meal.
