A traditional wedge-shaped feta made from sheep’s pasteurized milk is produced in the region of Tripoli, Greece. The cheese is aged in 135-pound oak barrels for at least six months. The result is a rich, sweet and buttery flavor and consistency in flavor. After aging for a minimum of 6 months the cheese is repackaged in brine in this unique 5.5lb triangular tub. Each conveniently sized tub contains a single triangular 5.5lb piece of aged barrel feta in brine.
